My Intentions For May

First off, happy new month!

There are so many things about May that I love. I love the fact that the weather is finally getting cooler here in Australia and it is truly beginning to feel like Autumn. I feel like I am finally settling into 2016 even though we’re almost halfway through the year. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride for me and i’m happy to start again with a new month. May is a blank slate for me. I decided to set myself some intentions/goals for this month. I have limited myself to four simple intentions that align with the projects I have to complete. My intentions are:

  • to write 16,000 words for my thesis
  • to go for learning walks on Sunday evenings or Monday mornings (depending on my schedule) to prepare me for the week. I read about this on Nadege’s blog and it’s something I want to incorporate into my weekly routine. You can read more about it here. I’ll give you all an update at the end of the month
  • to finish reading ‘The Power Of A Praying Woman‘ by Stormie Omartian
  • to learn how to ‘plate’ a meal properly. As a visual person, I love it when a meal is styled prior to being served. I’m a sucker for well styled plates and serving people in a fancy way when I host them so this is something I really want to develop continuously
  • to work out at least 3 times a week. I’ve been slacking on this front and I really need to get back into taking care of myself

What are some of your intentions for the month? Feel free to share them in the comments section
